POINT DOUGLAS HAS DEFINITELY SOME POVERTY CHALLENGES, AND I AM COMMITTED TO SUPPORT LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS WHO ASSIST IN THE REDUCTION OF POVERTY SUCH AS, WINNIPEG HOUSING & HOMELISSNESS INITIATIVE, as well as END HOMELINESS WINNIPEG
- What specific actions will you take to reduce poverty in Winnipeg via the City of Winnipeg?
CONTINUE TO SUPPORT LOCAL INITIATIVES, THERE ARE MANY AMAZING GROUPS IN THE CITY THAT HELP REDUCE POVERTY THAT ARE COMMUNITY DRIVEN, AND I CAN HELP THEM BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE WHERE I CAN.

- How will you work with community groups and people with lived experience of poverty?
ONCE I BECOME CITY COUNCILLOR, I WOULD LIKE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH GROUPS TO SEE HOW MYSELF AND THE CITY CAN HELP MORE
As a community organizer, I most appreciate bringing people together with a common goal, and then moving forward together. At this point, my priorities would be to bring together organizations that can work together with city support to address our challenges with addiction, and working with the Rooming House Organizing Committee.

THANK YOU FOR THE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RESPOND. POINT DOUGLAS IS VERY DIVERSE WARD WITH MANY DIFFERENT ISSUES, AND I WANT TO DO MY BEST TO REPRESENT EVERY ONE IN THE WARD.
I commit to supporting Thunderbird House to repair the building and develop a plan for activities on the site, and that reach out into the surrounding area.
